ENG- In the indigenous Otomí community of San Bartolo de Oxtotitlán, north of State of Mexico, mushrooms are part of the traditional cuisine, and also a big part of the economic activity. Even though this is an activity mainly done by men, Yeni Piña has been collecting mushrooms since she was five years old. The tradition was passed on to her by her mom and grandmother. Now, she expects her daughters to continue with this ancestral activity.

ESP- En la comunidad Otomí de San Bartolo de Oxtotitlán, al norte del Estado de México, por tradición, los hongos son parte importante de la alimentación y la economía. Aunque es una actividad que normalmente es realizada por hombres, Yeni Piña se ha dedicado a la recolección desde los cinco años. Heredó la tradición de su madre y abuela.
